We empower and equip individuals & families battling with trauma and mental health challenges towards recovery. We train everyday people to recognize and respond to individuals experiencing mental health complications.

Jhuamia Pile—best known as Mia—is a native of Nashville, TN. She has been happily married for over 14 years to Victor Pile, Jr., and together they have two beautiful children. Mia is a graduate of Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s degree in English. As a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor and former Life Alignment Depression Program Facilitator for the Wildwood Lifestyle Center, Mia brings a world of experience into all of her presentations and trainings. After spending 15 years in ministry as a missionary, lifestyle coach, and teacher/principal, life tragedies hit so hard that she thought she lost her faith. As a survivor of abuse, Mia candidly makes herself vulnerable by sharing her own personal experiences with depression, suicidal thoughts, fears about God, and the tools she used to overcome them. She is on a mission to combat the stigmas surrounding mental health, especially in the church, and to equip everyday people to be prepared to help in the event of a mental health crisis encounter.

What People Are Saying

“Mrs. Pile exceeded our expectations! Her presentation was transformative and inspirational – it sent shock waves through my church. Members contacted me weeks after her discourse, still expressing their heartfelt gratitude for the dissemination of such rich knowledge. My only regret is that I waited for a global pandemic to bring Pain Unwasted to our church. People are starving for this in many places, and I believe that the information is long overdue!

Whether you desire for Pain Unwasted to lead your volunteers/employees in Mental Health First Aid training courses or to bring awareness and shed light on mental health topics through riveting testimonies and interactive presentations, Pain Unwasted is the way to go!

Working with Mia and the Pain Unwasted team was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Their level of professionalism, communication, and relatability is exceptional.”

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
